Arcade Hardware?
#1
Any plans for recording from 16bit arcade hardware, or is this out of the question because it's likely too expensive?

I know this is a late reply, but I feel maybe some people would like to know.

Some official soundtrack releases that include the "arcade versions" actually seem to use recordings from the real hardware. I would research that first.

I know this is the case with 2015's "Street Fighter II The Definitive Soundtrack" for example, which sounds great BTW!

Yup, there are several good official releases recorded straight from arcade hardware.

I suggest to search on http://vgmdb.net to see if the game's soundtrack you're looking for is there.

Now, to be completely honest, I have a Neo Geo arcade PCB with a custom BIOS which lets me play the music in the cartridges. And it happens that I have 2 multicarts which cover 95% of the library.

Maybe, someday... Wink
